Senior Pictures in the Fall

There is a reason why senior pictures in the fall are so popular. The cooler weather is appealing to everyone in Florida. By the time fall finally rolls around, all Floridians are exhausted by the 100 degree heat. This reason alone is enough reason to book a session in the fall or winter. However, there are other benefits! Fall colors are my favorite. Florida does not get the beautiful fall trees, but the browns in the landscape are beautiful. I love the way that every color seems to pop off of the landscape in the winter time. In addition, normally Florida is full of bright neon yellow and green grass. I always find myself desaturating yellows in post because of how bright they are! The winter grass is much more appealing to photographers. Regardless of the time of year though, Florida is gorgeous year round!

Jordan wanted to include her letter-man jacket in her senior photos. I love the pendants that she has on her letterman. Not only does she have her school-given pendants, but she also has a ballerina. The ballerina was stunning to me! Jordan is a member of the Dancing Dolls, so dance has always been extremely important to her. We photographed her senior portraits in High Springs at the Stephen Foster State Park. There are a multitude of photo opportunities at Stephen Foster. I especially love the way the lighting comes in through their tall oak trees and spanish moss. Jordan was such a stunner for her senior portraits, I think it is impossible for her to take a bad photo! We laughed the afternoon away and created gorgeous photos for her senior year. This session is hard to choose a favorite for. Jordan is stunning, and so is the lighting!
